Health Related Law
I spent over 12 years working as a manager in a medical office, before
and while attending law school. Since December 2007, after receiving my
license, I have developed great interest and expertise in a variety of legal
aspects of the Health Law: dealing with inappropriate medical billing
practices and collections’ issues, Medicare and Medical audits, medical
malpractice cases, contesting and reducing patients’ medical bills from
hospitals and physicians, defending patients in their grievances against
health care insurance companies within the scope of Knox-Keene Act and
beyond, insuring regulatory compliance for providers of medical care,
fighting HMO’s unfair payment practices, solving issues with COBRA
enrollment, and many others.
- Medical Billing: unnecessary procedures, unreasonable or not customary
charges, reduction or total elimination of medical bills; Issues of over
utilization of tests, excessive billing, unnecessary and duplicative
services: contesting medical claims, denial of payments, “incomplete
claims,” claims excepted from time limits; claims for emergency services,
“unfair payment patterns”
- Medical Billing and Collection: pre-litigation negotiations, demand
letters, litigating and post-judgment enforcement
- Unfair payment practices: representing physicians in their grievances
against Health Maintenance Organizations to insure adequate and timely
payments for services rendered to insured’s patients (AB1455 California
Regulation)
- Medical Bills and Health Insurance Policy issues: representing clients
in their disputes with Hospitals and Health Insurance Companies,
reimbursement for denied claims, compensation for emergency services
- Medical malpractice claims: mistakes by medical providers, i.e.
physicians or hospitals, negligent conduct, unnecessary and harmful
procedures
- Pharmacy Law: unlabeled medications and other violations
- Medical facilities: injuries, falls, supervisors’ fault for wrongful
acts of employees
- Medicare and Medicaid (Medi-Cal) Programs: providers’ reenrollment
issues, administrative hearings, audits
- Violations of Knox-Keene Health Care Services Plan Act: enforcement
against health insurance providers
- Physician’s contracts: drafting, reviewing, consulting, and advising;
Physician/Landlord rental agreements

Landlord/Tenant
I am currently working on developing expertise in this area and would
consider taking cases re: evictions: unlawful detainer actions,
construction defects, warranty of habitability issues, slip-and-fall
cases. My charges will match my experience.
Personal Injury Cases
I recently represented a couple of clients in vehicle accident cases with
property damages and injuries to persons. I would accept more legal
representations in this area of law: claims for property damages, personal
injury cases, slip-and-fall cases, and injuries due to construction
defects.
Immigration Law
I am taking in cases to represent clients before U.S. Citizenship and
Immigration Services (USCIS) in regards to petitioning the Government to
legally bring in family members to live in the U.S.
Patent Law
I am a California’s licensed registered engineer and have an extensive
engineering background. I would love to take in patent projects that would
incorporate all stages of Patent Law from drafting to defending a patent
before USPTO with the ultimate goal of obtaining patent registration.
Russian Connections
